Share price indices at the country's both bourses witnessed upward trend after first two hours of trading on Thursday, the last session of the week.
DSEX, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 37.00 points or 0.32 percent to stand at 6179.29 at 12:46 pm.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 4.88 points or 0.36 percent to stand at 1341.73 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also rose over 9.11 points or 0.40 percent to stand at 2238.99 points.
Trade deals stood at 72,240 with transaction at over Tk 4,462.02 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 146 advanced, 109 declined and 64 issues remained unchanged.
City Bank Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 245 million changing hands till then followed by Dhaka Bank, LankaBangla Finance and Square Pharma.
The port city bourse - Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - advancing 45.97 points to stand at 11,601.64 points, also at 12:06 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 81 gained, 95 declined and 29 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 237 million.
