Kushtia AL leader jailed for attempt to enter JSC exam centre

A mobile court in Kushtia sentenced a local  Awami League leader to a 10-day jail on Thursday for attempting to enter an examination center during the Junior School Certificate examination in Mirpur upazila.

 

The convict is Ruhul Alam Biswas, organizing secretary of Mirpur Upazila unit Awami League, UNB reports.

 

Azizul Haque, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Mirpur Police Station, said police obstructed Ruhul Biswas when he along with his several supporters riding on motorcycles tried to enter the Mirpur Pilot High School center in the morning.

 

Later, a mobile court, led by Mirpur upazila nirbahi officer S M Jamal Ahmed, awarded him the jail term.
