A Bangladeshi national has allegedly been shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Burimari border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonrhat.

The deceased was identified as Farid Uddin, 22, son of Shamsul Haque, of Patgram upazila, UNB reports.

Sources at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said a patrol team of BSF opened fire at the cattle traders while they went to border pillar No. 843 for bringing cattle around 4:00 am on Wednesday, leaving one dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured Akkas Ali, 26, of Ufarmara village adjacent to Burimari border, was firstly taken to Patgram Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
