The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will honour regular VAT paying establishments with 'VAT Honor Card' to encourage them to collect Value Added Tax (VAT) properly for the government.
The NBR will distribute this card on the National VAT Day to be observed on December 10, said NBR Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman while exchanging views with economic reporters on Monday.
Senior information office of the NBR Syed A Munem said after getting huge response from taxpayers for the Tax Card, the NBR has decided to introduce 'VAT Honor Card' to encourage establishments collecting VAT, reports BSS.
Initially 35,000 establishments will be honoured this year. Business establishments having record to submit returns for 12 months in a ray will get this card which will remain valid for one year, he said.
