President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque.
In a condolence message, Abdul Hamid said Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sayedul Hoque was a dedicated and patriotic politician.
The President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister recalled Sayedul's contributions to the struggle for the country's independence, saying he played an important role in the Six-point Movement and actively took part in the War of Liberation.
The popular leader was elected MP on Awami League ticket from Brahmanbaria-1 constituency for five times from 1973 to 2014, she said, adding that the country has lost a dedicated and honest leader at his death.

Sayedul Hoque died at Bangabanahdu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital in the morning at the age of 75.
Sayedul Hoque, who was put on life support at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) since August this year, breathed his last at the hospital around 8:30 am on Saturday. He died at the age of 75..
