Bangladesh U-19 lost to Afghanistan in practice match

Bangladesh U19 lost their third practice match against Afghanistan U19 at Christchurch. In the first two matches, Bangladesh U19 faced Otago A.

 

Batting first, Afghanistan U19 were bowled out for 206 on 48.2 overs Azmatullah’s quick-fire 81.

Hasan Mahmud bagged 4 wickets for 46. Robiul Haque took 3 wickets for 56 and Tipu Sultan got 2 wickets for 36.

 

After the early loss of Nayeem, Pinak Ghash and skipper Saif Hassan made an 77-run stand in the 2nd wicket partnership. Pinak was dismissed after scoring 54 off 56 balls while Saif scored 43. But after their departure, young Tigers lost wickets in regular interval and were eventually all out for 150 in 41.4 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq picked up 4 wickets 41 for Afghanistan U19.

 

Afghanistan U19 : 206/10 in 48.2 overs (Azmatullah 81, Baheer 44, Ibrahim 32; Hasan Mahmud 4/46, Robilul Haque 3/56, Tipu Sultan 2/36)

 

Bangladesh U19 : 150/10 in 41.4 overs (Pinak 50, Saif 43; Naveen 4/41)

 

Result : Afghanistan U19 won by 46 runs.
