4 Jheniadah cops withdrawn for negligence of duty

A sub-inspector and three constables of Maheshpur Police Station have been closed to district police lines on charge of negligence of duty, UNB reports.

 

The police personnel are -- SI Anisur Rahman and constables Abdul Gaffar, Asadul Haque and Imran Hossain.

 

Additional superintendent of police Ajhabar Ali Sheikh said a gang of bandits carried out robbery in a Darshana-bound bus at Purandapur on January 4.

 

On January 7, police filed a case with Maheshpur Police Station accusing seven-eight unidentified people.

 

Later, the district police withdrew the four policemen for their negligence of duty during the robbery incident.
