Sales of warm clothes have soared as a cold wave accompanied by dense fog is sweeping across the country, forcing many people to buy winter clothing.

Sharif Ahmed, a jobholder, told the daily sun, “I am shopping for winter clothing in New Market to protect my family from severe cold.”
He bought two jackets, a sweater, three woollen caps and three mufflers.
“The prices of warm clothes have increased due to their increasing demands, he added.
