Subhas Chandra Bose’s 121st birth anniversary celebrated

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Tuesday said Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had similar ideology and leadership characteristic.

 

He made the remarks while addressing a discussion programme as chief guest at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum in the city, UNB reports.

 

An online portal named Bahumatrik.com organized the programme to celebrate the 121st birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose and ‘Patriotism Day’.

 

Chaired by Dhaka University (DU) former Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddiqui, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla also spoke at the function.

Amir Hossain Amu said “Subhas Chandra Bose had an important role to achieve the independence of India.

Like Subhas Bose, Banabandhu led us to achieve our independence from Pakistan. Bangabandhu mentioned at his autobiography that he followed Neatji. They always raised their voices against injustice and inequity. "

 

Harsh Vardhan Shringla said “Subhas Bose was the leader of undivided Bangla. He fought for our freedom. It’s a matter of pleasure that Nataji’s birthday is celebrating in Bangladesh.”

 

“Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose dreamt for an independent India. He started work to fulfill his dream. But after some days he was died in an accident. Though he passed away, people always remember his contribution," said Prof Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddiqui in his speech.
