The Election Commission (EC) has set the Brahmanbaria-1 and Gaibandha-1 parliamentary by-polls for March 13 and announced the full schedule.
The deadline for submission of nomination papers is February 14.
SM Asaduzzaman, joint secretary of the Election Commission revealed the information on Sunday.
He said submission of nomination papers has been set for February 14 while the date for scrutiny is February 16 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is February 23.
Earlier, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda stated the Nasirnagar (Brahmanbaria-1) and Sundarganj (Gaibandha-1) by-polls would be held on March 13.
The Brahmanbaria-1 constituency fell vacant following the death of Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Haque on December 16, while the Gaibandhab-1 fell vacant following the death of Golam Mostafa on December 19 last.
The Rangpur Regional Election Officer has been appointed as the returning officer for Gaibandha-1 by-election, while the Comilla Regional Election Officer for Brahmanbaria-1 by-polls.
