North South University (NSU) celebrated the spring festival on Tuesday 1st of Falgun 1424 in a festive mood.
The cultural organisation of the university organised a day-long colourful event to uphold the Bengali’s culture among the young generation.
The Spring Festival initiated with a vibrant rally at 10am in the morning and proceeded with Baul-Gaan, traditional dance performances, circus, fair, Jaatrapala, etc.
Thousands of students participated in the event with colourful festive attires and expressed their enthusiasm in the drums, flute and ektara.
Mohammed Shajahan, Chairman, BOT, NSU said, "Today the joy begins; and we will try to celebrate all the seasons in NSU as our own.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Atiqul Islam said in his speech, "I wish that everyone's heart, like the petals of the spring flowers, will grow. Our students will be satisfied with the followings of the Bengali culture.”
MA Hashem, Member BOT, NSU along with Prof. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Treasurer, Parisa Shakur, Student Affairs Director, Ismat Hossain, Faculty Advisor, Shangskritik Sangothon, NSU and Deans of different Schools were present in this joyful event.
