Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo has observed the Historic 7th March in Japan with due importance and in a befitting manner at the Bangabandhu Auditorium of the mission.
The program began with the welcome address by the Ambassador Rabab Fatima on Wednesday. It was followed by reading out of messages issued by President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
In her welcome speech, the Ambassador paid profound tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and shed light on the significance of the historic speech of Bangabandhu and its recognition by UNESCO as the World Documentary Heritage.
The video of the historic speech was screened and the audience listened to it in pin-drop silence. It was followed by a rich discussion program with participation from the invited guests including the members of Bangladesh community in Japan.
A good number of Bangladesh expatriate community members and members of the Mission attended the programme.
