The batsmen of Sri Lanka hammered all around the field to score a big total of 214 for 6 against Bangladesh in the third T20I of the tri-nation Nidahas Trophy at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
Perera scored 74 off 48 striking eight fours and two sixes while Mendis scored 57 off 30 striking five sixes and two fours.
Mustafizur took three wickets and Mahmudullah took two while Rubel took one wicket for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first against the host Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are at opposite ends of the confidence spectrum as they face up in the Nidahas Trophy.
