Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns home from Singapore on Tuesday cutting short her four-day official visit by a day following the crash of a Bangladeshi plane in Nepal, reports UNB.
According to a release issued by the PM’s Press Wing on Monday, the Prime Minister will come back home due to the crash of a US-Bangla Airlines aircraft.
At least 50 people died as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines from Dhaka to Kathmandu crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of the Himalayan country on Monday, said officials.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to Singapore on Sunday on a four-day official visit at the invitation of her Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.
The Prime Minister has already talked to Nepalese Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli over telephone from Singapore to inquire about the plane crash.
She said Bangladesh will send a helping team to Nepal right after the resumption of operation in Tribhuban Airport to assist the Nepalese team in the rescue operation of the US Bangla Airlines plane crash incident.” Bangladesh will extend all sorts of necessary support,” she said.
