BNP remains threat to democracy: Inu

Information minister and president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Hasanul Haq Inu has said that BNP speaks of democracy but has militants, patrons, Razakars and arsonists in its pockets. So the party remains a threat to peace and democracy.

The minister was speaking at a meeting of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASHOD) city unit as part of its "organizational month" at its office in the city on Sunday.

"To ensure peace and development in the country, there was no alternative to keeping BNP out of state power," he said, reports BSS.

"Elimination of militants, their patrons and ensuring an egalitarian society remain the three tasks ahead of us and JASHOD would fight all of them from the front, "he said.

Other leaders of the party, including Shirin Akhter, MP, also spoke at the meeting.
