The Ministry of Planning will hold a colourful function today in the capital's Hatirjheel amphitheatre marking the country's gradation to a developing country from the LDC status, reports BSS.
"The function will be held under the title 'Irresistible march forward of Bangladesh' in the capital's Hatirjheel amphitheatre on Friday evening," said a Planning Ministry official.
The official said during the function from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm, a documentary will be screened on the 'Irresistible march forward of Bangladesh' through eye-catching water projection using world's state-of-the art technology.
Apart from this, there will be fireworks and a cultural function with the participation of the country's leading artists.
The UN Committee for Development Policy (CDP) on March 15 officially declared the eligibility of Bangladesh for graduating from the LDCs and handed over a formal letter in this regard to Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the UN Masud Bin Momen following the day..
