Like the previous year, theNational Board of Revenue (NBR)willorganise'Halkhata Day'marking Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bangla New Year.
But this year the day will be celebrated onApril 15 instead ofApril 14 as the first day of the Bengali New Year is a holiday.
NBR Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said this while talking to reporters at his officeon Tuesday.
He said the revenue collecting authority will consider an incentive for the taxpayers if they pay their dues on that day.
