Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback will visit Bangladesh this week to hold series of meetings and meet Rohingyas.

He will discuss religious freedom with government officials, civil society representatives, and a range of leaders representing both majority and minority religious communities, says a media note issued by the US Department of State.

His travel will include a visit to Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.

Sam Brownback was sworn in as Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom on February 1, 2018.

He served as Governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018. Previously he served as a US Senator (1996-2011) and a U.S.

Representative in the House of Representatives (1995-1996) from Kansas.
