The entrance test of Masters and Ph.D programme of South Asian University (SAU) was held at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in the city on Sunday.
The entrance test was held simultaneously throughout the SAARC region at the same time on the same date. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has supervised the exam in Bangladesh.
UGC chairman Prof Abdul Mannan, its secretary Dr.Md Khaled, Joint-Secretary Dr Md Fakhrul Islam and SAU Associate Prof of Department of Mathematics Dr Pankaj Jaim among others visited the examination center, says a UGC press release.
A total of 200 Bangladeshi students participated in the examination for the admission into Economics, Sociology, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, International Relations, and Legal Studies.
The students, who will be qualified in the examination and get into admitted, will receive twenty five thousand Rupees for PhD and fifteen thousand for Masters Programme per month as scholarship.
