Signal two for river ports, no marine warning

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has advised keeping hoisted signal no 2 for river ports of Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Cumilla and Sylhet.

 

In association with rain or thundershowers temporary west or northwesterly gusty or squally wind speed, 60-80kph is likely to occur over the regions.

 

There is no Marine Warning for ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra but river ports have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no two.

 

 In association with rain or thundershowers temporary west or northeasterly gusty or squally wind speed 60-80kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barisal, Patuakhali, Jessore, Kushtia, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal no two.

 

Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over  Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a places over Khulna and Chittagong  divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi  and  Barishal divisions with hails at isolated places over the country.

 

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

 

Rain or thundershowers are likely to continue. The temperature may rise.
