Shakib’s Sunrisers concede 2nd defeat in IPL

The world renowned all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s side Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) conceded their 2nd successive defeat in the 11th Indian Premier League (IPL) as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got a 4-run win in the 20th match of this season’s IPL at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal in Hyderabad on Sunday.

 

Sent in to bat first, CSK scored 182 for 3 in 20 overs and restricted SRH on 178 for 6 in 20 overs.

 

The Test and T20I captain of Bangladesh, Shakib (24 off 19b; 2x4; 1x4) was caught by Suresh Raina off Karn Sharma, leaving his team collection on 71/4 in 10.3 overs. With ball, Shakib was wicketless in four overs conceding 32 runs, reports UNB. 

 

Man of the match Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu (79 off 37b; 9x4; 4x6) and SK Raina (54* off 43b; 5x4; 2x6) were the big hitters for the winners.
