Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan at Kuala Lumpur

Bangladesh Women sealed their first win in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 by beating Pakistan Women by 7 wickets at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur. Bangladesh lost against Sri Lanka in the opening match.

 

Batting first Pakistan Women managed to post 95 for 5 after 20 overs thanks to Sana Mir’s unbeaten 21. Nahida Akhter bagged 2 wickets for 23. Despite losing the two early wickets of Ayesha and Faegana, Bangladesh successfully chased down the target easily with 7 wickets in hand. Shamima was dismissed after scoring 31 while Nigar Sultana was remained not out on 31 of 35.

 

Pakistan Women: 95/5 in 20 overs (Sana Mir 21*,Javeria 18, Nida Dar 17; Nahida 2/23 )

 

Bangladesh Women: 96/3 in 17.5 overs (Nigar 31*, Shamima 31, Fahima 23*; Anam 1/9)

 

Result: Bangladesh Women won by 5 wickets.
