'Drug trader' killed in Sirajganj 'gunfight'

'Drug trader' killed in Sirajganj 'gunfight'

Another suspected drug trader was killed in what said to be a gunfight with detectives in Raipur Railway station area under Sadar municipal early Monday, UNB reports.


The deceased was identified as Shahin Reza, 35, son of Danesh Sheikh.


Helal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a team of DB police conducted the drive in the area around 2am following a tip-off.


When the team reached the area, the 'drug traders' reportedly opened fire on the  law enforcers.


The law enforcers then fired back in self defence, leaving Shahin dead on the spot.


Three policemen were also injured.


Besides, DB police recovered a foreign pistol and 307 Yaba pills from the spot.
