Bangladeshi Artists Partake In 1st South Asian Int’l Art Camp

A week-long 1st South Asian international art camp titled ‘Mountain for Peace’, arranged by Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, was inaugurated by Khadga Prasad Oli, Nepalese premier, on July 11, 2018 at Kathmandu and Pokhra of Nepal. The eminent artists of South Asian countries including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and host Nepal are participating in this arts camp.

Six artists from Bangladesh, led by the director of the Department of Fine Arts of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Ashraful Alam Paplu, are participating in this art camp. Artists who are taking part are Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Atia Islam Anne, Dulal Chandra Gain, Shahjahan Ahmed Bikash and Bishwajit Goswami. This camp will create opportunity for sharing their experiences to work in a single platform, building strong cultural relationship and enriching themselves.

 

 

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Nepal Academy of Fine Arts have been maintaining a strong cultural tie under bi-lateral pacts between these organizations. The art camp will close on July 16, 2018.
