Pagla mosque in Kishoreganj earned 20 sacks of money from eight donation boxes on Saturday.

Additional District Magistrate ATM Farhad Chowdhury confirmed the information.

Sources said each boxes are opened every month to collect the money.

But this time, the boxes have been unfolded after a gap of three months and six days.

According to mosque management committee, in the presence of officials of district administration, the donation boxes were opened at 9:00am. Counting of the money was continuing till filing of this report.

Earlier, on October 1, 2022, a total of Tk 38,970,882 apart from foreign currencies and gold ornaments, were collected from the boxes.
