Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said on Thursady instruction will be given to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) for submitting probe report of journalist couple Sagar-Runi murder case quickly.

"We too want the mystery of this murder case to be revealed quickly," he told journalists after receiving a memorandum from leaders of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at his ministry office.

The DRU leaders, including its president Mursalin Nomani, general secretary Hasan Sohel, office secretary Kawser Azam, executive member Ismail Hossain Russel, senior members of the organisation Shyamal Sarker, Fasih Uddin Mahtab, Motahar Hossain, Mehedy Azad Masum and Alamgir Swapan gave the memorandum to the minister demanding speedy trial of Sagar-Runi murder case.
 
The minister said the government is also trying to reveal the mystery of the case, adding, "I have also told the journalist leaders, if you have any information about Sagar-Runi murder, let us know, we will also look into it seriously."

"I am sending the memorandum of DRU to the DG of RAB right now for submitting report quickly," he added.
