Bangladesh Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank sign deal to boost CMSME investment

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has funded a refinancing project under the Bangladesh Bank's support called the "Covid-19 Emergency and Crisis Response Facility Project (CECRFP)" to increase investment in the CMSME sector to mitigate the adverse effects of Covid-19 and revive economic activity.
Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited signed the participation agreement under this project on 09th April 2023 in a ceremony organized at the head office of Bangladesh Bank.
In the presence of Abu Farah Md Nasser, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, the Managing Director & CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and the Project Director of Bangladesh Bank's Covid-19 Emergency and Crisis Response Facility Project (CECRFP) Md Abdul Wahab signed the agreement on behalf of their respective Organizations.
Among others, the Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank's SME & Special Program Department Dr Md Kabir Ahmed and the Head of SME & Agri Investment Department of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd Md Abdur Rahim were present in the signing ceremony.
