India will cooperate to spread heritage of Bengali language

India government will extend co-operation for spreading rich heritage of Bengali language among all youths of two sides of Bengal and across the world.
Bibek Debroy, Chairman of Economic Advisory Council of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said in the ‘Bengali festival’ organised by both India and Bangladesh in the capital city of India on Sunday.
He was addressing the concluding session of the festival in the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium of Bengali colony at Chittaranjan Park in New Delhi.
Dr Atiur Rahaman , advisor to festival committee and former Governor of Bangladesh Reserve, said people of the two countries have benefited from the present bilateral relations.
Attending as chief guest, Bibek Debroy recalled the glorious struggle for the recognition of Bengali language and especially language movement of 1952 which led to the creation of Bangladesh under the bold leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman.
Terming language reflection of the art and culture of a society, he gave a call to the youth of two countries to spread the Bengali language all over the world.
Despite economic crisis of the world fuelled by the Russia –Ukraine war India’s economy is on a upward trajectory which helps both India and Bangladesh unleash lot of projects for the benefit of the people, said Dr Rahaman.
Bangladesh economy is also doing well overcoming all odds. The perfect understanding between the two countries has become beneficial to the people.
He said “Connectivity and people- to-people contact between two countries have yielded results for the common people. Keeping the Pohela Boishakh celebration in mind, the festivals organised by two countries bearing testimony to rich bonding.”
In this occasion former High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das, Minister Press of Bangladesh Mission of New Delhi Shaban Mahmud also spoke at length to elaborate the relationship between the two countries.
Famous Rabindra Sangeet artist Lily Islam and Dhaka Padatik Drama Group President Mijanur Rahaman also participated in the programme. The three day ‘Bangla Utsav’ was organised by Bangladesh –India History and Heritage Council and Bihu Creation.
