Veteran journalist and Daily Sun’s New Delhi correspondent Gautam Lahiri has been elected President of Press Club of India (PCI) for the third term.

Gautam Lahiri, first Bengali president of PCI, also bagged all of 20 other posts for his panel in the polls held on Saturday. Results of the PCI elections were published on Sunday.

Manoranjan Bharati, managing editor of NDTV, has elected vice-president, Probe editor Niraj Thakur secretary general, Wire journalist Mahtab Alam joint secretary,  and News Nation journalist Mohit Dubey treasurer.

All of 16 managing committee member candidates, including four female have been elected from Lahiri panel.

They are Vineeta Thakur of All India Radio, Pragya Singh of Newsclick, Surabhi Kanga of Caravan, Meghna Dhulia of Times of India, Bengali Asish Gupta of Asomiya Pratidin, Anish Kumar of Asianet News, Ashraf Ali of Asia Times (Urdu), Abdul Bari Masoud of Urdu daily Salar, Jatin Gandhi of Jagran New Media, Manvender  Vashist Lav of PTI,  Mayank Singh of The New Indian Express, independent journalist NR Mohanty, Ravinder Kumar  of CNN News 18, Shankar Kumar  Anand of Network 18, independent journalist Sunil Negi, Telaprolu Srinivas Rao of TVS (Telugu).
