The BNP will distribute leaflets on Friday and Saturday and conduct countrywide mass contact programmes to gather support in favour of its campaign to boycott the January 7 national election.

Addressing a virtual press briefing this noon (Thursday), BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme.

He said all the political parties and alliances will hold the mass contact and leaflet distribution programme across the country simultaneously.

The BNP and its allies earlier observed the same programme from 28 December till 30 December urging the country's people to boycott the 7 January general election in support of their ongoing noncooperation movement to compel the government to resign and arrange fresh polls under non-party government.
