The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of police claimed to have arrested a man linked to the murder of an auto-rickshaw driver from Hizla in Barishal on Tuesday.

The arrestee is Riaz Hossain, 33, son of Shajahan of East Char Madraz (Rari Bari) at Char Fasson in Bhola, said Mahfujul Alam Russel, SP (Media and Awareness) of the ATU.

On 20 December last year, the slaughtered body of Mohammad Harun, 17, son of Abdul Munaf Palwan, was recovered from Hamidpur village under Madraz union of Char Fasson.

Later, a murder case was filed against unknown people of Char Fasson Police Station.

The police officer said that Riaz, in a preplanned way, killed Harun and snatched his auto on December 19.
