Bailey Road Fire: Death disbands dream of Daffodilian

Tushar Howladar has just completed his honors from the Daffodil International University in Journalism. He was making plans with his friends for the convocation scheduled for 10 March. But the devastating fire that razed through the building housing the Kacchi Bhai outlet on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday night destroyed all.

The family members identified the body of Tushar at the Dhaka Medical morgue on Friday morning. He lost his life in the Bailey Road fire tragedy.

Tushar lived with his family in Khilgaon area of the capital.

Tushar's classmates said that he had also deposited money to take his parents to the convocation.

He was working as a video journalist at an IT company called Star Tech. Previously worked at The Report.live.

Father Dinesh Hawladar gave this information to reporters when he came to receive the body at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.

He said Tushar went to eat with his friends at Bailey Road and died there in the fire incident.

At least 46 dead in the devastating fire that razed through the building housing the Kacchi Bhai outlet on Bailey Road in the capital Dhaka on Thursday night.

Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen said on Friday that the people undergoing treatment are in critical condition. The death toll from the blazing inferno kept climbing through the night, and is likely to rise further.
