Environment minister distributes 5,500 sarees and lungis as Eid gifts

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that the government is distributing enough clothes and food items so that the underprivileged people of the country can wear new clothes and eat special food to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

Arrangements are being made so that people can celebrate Eid happily with their loved ones. Eid gifts are being given to all women, men and children.

The environment minister made the remarks while addressing the chief guest at the Eid gift distribution ceremony at Manda Hyder Ali School and College in the capital on Monday (8 April).

Saber Hossain Chowdhury also said that there has been a lot of development in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  It will take some time to reap the benefits of all the ongoing developments.  The government is working relentlessly to increase all kinds of opportunities for the people. 

He said, “Under the direction of the Prime Minister, Awami League and its organisations are helping the people with the Iftar party money.  Let us all stand by the common people and make their Eid happy.”

Mugda Thana Awami League President Mosharraf Hossain Bahar, Sabujbagh Thana Awami League General Secretary and Councilor Chittaranjan Das, Councilor Shafiqul Alam Shamim and Councilor Khairuzzaman Khairul along with local Awami League and its organisational leaders were present.

The environment minister today distributed 1,200 sarees, lungis at Manda Haider Ali School and College, 2,200 to Manda Panchayat tola, 1,600 to Chata Mosque in Danober Gali and 5,00 to Hawai Gali in Goran as Eid gifts.
