Chattogram Port Authority marked the 137th Port Day with celebratory events and ceremonies on Thursday.

The festivities kicked off with an official flag-raising ceremony at the port's courtyard, attended by heads of various units, officials, and employees.

Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail hoisted the national flag while the member (Engineering) Commodore Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman hoisted the port flag.

As part of the celebration, a minute-long whistle was blown across all vessels and ships stationed at Chittagong Port.

Following the flag-raising ceremony, Chairman Rear Admiral Sohail joined port officials and staff at the Port Building Foyer, where a cake-cutting ceremony took place. He extended his warm wishes to all employees and exchanged greetings with attendees.

Representatives of various organizations, including the Chittagong Port Officers Association, Chittagong Port Employees Council, stakeholders of the port, and other prominent entities, greeted the Chairman on the occasion of the 137th Port Day.
