FAA for better US-Bangladesh ties to enable direct flights

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Attaché, Daniel Jacob, said Bangladesh and the United States must have close cooperation to implement direct flights between the two countries.
He said this during a recent meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, as stated in a press release.
The attaché also explained the process for attaining Bangladesh’s goal of implementing direct flights. He said Bangladesh needs to achieve a “Category 1” safety rating, which requires passing the US FAA’s International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA).
