Bangladeshi film “Kath Golap” has won award at “Golden Femi Film Festival 2024” in Bulgaria. The Sajjad Khan-directed film won the award at the “Best Production” category in the festival.    

Mohammad Farman Ali, the producer of the film received the award from Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova on 18 June.

After receiving the award, Farman Ali, also a freedom fighter, said, “It is not only for me, but also a great achievement for Bangladeshi film. I received the award from a stage where world famous filmmakers were present.” 

“I believe our film will gain more reputation in the world market in future. Bangladeshi films will reach people’s doorsteps”, he added.

Earlier, “Kath Gelap” won eight prestigious awards by participating in various film festivals including India and America.

Actors Sabrina Sultana Kaya, Rashed Mamun Apu, Meghla Mukta, Dilruba  Doyel and many others have acted in the film.
