Heroic freedom fighter Shaheed Captain R A M Khairul Bashar’s granddaughter, Shoptorshi Bashar, also a Grade-X student in the capital Banani’s South Point English Medium School, will represent Bangladesh in a 21-day Global Youth Camp beginning in Germany’s Goslar city on 30 June 2024.

Secondary-level students of different countries in the world will take part in the Global Youth Camp. Shoptorshi is participating there after being selected for Pasch Youth Camp Scholarship of Germany. She will accompany an eight-member team of the country.

During camping period, Bangladesh’s socio-cultural and folk tradition as well as traditional food items will be displayed before the world community through Global Cultural Exchange Programme under the management of German Goethe-Institut.       

Participating countries will exhibit their traditional national cultures at the camp. Besides, visit to historic sites and attractive tourist spots as well as German language-related programme will also be included under the programme.
