Students from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) put up an exhilarating display of skill and camaraderie as the 2023 batch organized an inter-department laser tag tournament at Toggi Fun World.

Located within the Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in Dhaka, Toggi Fun World stands as South Asia’s premier destination for virtual reality gaming and immersive entertainment, says a press release on Thursday.

Seventy participants from ten departments competed in a series of nine matches over three rounds at the tournament held on Wednesday. Laser tag, a dynamic multi-player shooting game, was played by BUET’s finest engineering minds.

Participants hailed from a diverse array of departments including Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nanomaterials and Ceramic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Industrial and Production Engineering.

The inter-department laser tag tournament not only highlighted the competitive spirit and talent within BUET but also underscored the university’s commitment to fostering holistic development among its students through extracurricular activities.

Toggi Fun World, the event partner for the tournament, showcased its state-of-the-art laser tag technology and high-tech battlegrounds, delivering an immersive experience reminiscent of a real-life video game. Shahriyar Zaman of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department emerged as the top scorer in a thrilling final match, demonstrating exceptional skill and strategic acumen.

Spanning levels 9 to 18 within Bashundhara City, Toggi Fun World offers an extensive array of attractions, boasting over 176 exhilarating games and rides.
