Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) conducted drives against owners who built their buildings violating design in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area on Sunday.

RAJUK Executive Magistrate Saiful Islam led the drive and fined the alleged owners Tk5 lakh during the operations.

He said they constructed the buildings without following the design and permission. “We have partially demolished some illegal parts of the structures and also given them [owners] time to remove the remaining illegal parts.”

Authorised Officer Imrul Hasan, assistant authorised officer, and chief building inspector were present among others.
