Unidentified students sued for vandalising police vehicles

A case has been filed against unidentified students, blaming them for vandalising police vehicles during their ongoing protest demanding reform to the quota system in public services.
Khalilur Rahman, a driver of the transport department of Rajarbagh Police Lines, filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station last night.
While talking to reporters at his Mintu Road Office, Harun or Rashid, chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said, "We are noticing that infiltrators have gone on subversive activities without following the High Court's instructions.
According to the case document, a group of Dhaka University (DU) students gathered in front of the university's Central Library to protest quota system around 4:40pm.
Later, they reached Shahbagh intersection and began pelting break chips towards policemen and police officials.
They also vandalised government property, including an armoured personnel carrier and a water cannon.
