Popular actor Siam Ahmed-starrer new Dhallywood film “Jongly” will be released in theatres in October next on the occasion of Durga Puja.

Siam himself confirmed the news to the media on Wednesday.  He said, “Our film ‘Jongly’ will hit theatres across the country in October on the occasion of Durga Puja. The shooting of the film was completed last year. The dubbing and other post production works have also been completed. We will start campaign for the movie as soon as possible after the ongoing situation of the country has been improved.”

“Jongly is an action genre movie. All the artistes of the project have tried their best to portray themselves according to the characters. I hope the audience will enjoy the film very much”, added.

Siam-starrer movie “Antarjal” was released in theatres almost a year ago. After that, Siam has not announced any new film. Why Siam was absent from silver screen about three years? Answer to this question, the talented actor said, “About three years ago, I signed a contract with the film ‘Antarjal’. After that, I was absent from any new film. Artistes always try to improve their quality from one work to another. The audience also has expectations from artistes. I have taken so much time to fulfill the expectations of the fans. I was waiting for something better, hoping for something different. I undertook such a project after preparing for a long time.”

The “Shan”-famed director M Raahim is the director of the film “Jongly”.  Shobnom Bubly will be seen opposite Siam Ahmed in the film. Besides Siam and Bubly, the other cast of the film includes Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Arfan Mredha Shiblu, Rashed Mamunur Rahman (Apu) and others. 

 Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released in theatre on the occasion of last Eid-ul-Azha.
