Protesters under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement began a rally at the Science Lab intersection in the capital.
On Saturday at noon, hundreds of students from Dhaka College, City College, and Dhanmondi Ideal College blocked the road and started the protest.
They are protesting against the attacks, killings, and violence against student and citizen movements across the country and are demanding the implementation of their nine-point demand.
Due to the pre-announced programme, police were seen stationed at various points around the Science Lab intersection since the morning.
In response to the ongoing quota reform movement and the nationwide attacks, killings, and violence against students, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has announced a new 158-member coordinating team to strengthen their efforts.
Additionally, they have announced coordinating teams for various districts and educational institutions.
