Fatinaaz Feroze, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Stamford University, has resigned. As a result, the academic and administrative activities of the private university have been declared closed indefinitely.

The notice said that the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Stamford University has resigned. In this situation, all activities of the university have been declared closed indefinitely from 24 August. The campus will be reopened once the situation returns to normal.

University teachers and staff have reported that after the fall of the Awami League government, students and teachers were protesting, demanding the resignation of the Board of Trustees. There were allegations against these trustees of irregularities, corruption, and termination of employment for various reasons.

Officials from the University Grants Commission (UGC) have said that once Stamford University informs them of the matter, they will notify the Ministry of Education. The government will then form a new board. In this case, there will be no problems for current and former students.
