The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a committee to address the demands of protesting Ansar members, acknowledging the legitimacy of their concerns.

This initiative follows recent demonstrations by Ansar members, who have been calling for the nationalization of their jobs.

According to a press release issued by the Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division, Mohammad Abdul Momen, on Saturday, the government will determine the course of action based on the committee's recommendations. Until then, the recruitment of new general Ansars will be suspended.

The Chief Adviser has been informed of the demands raised by the general Ansar members, according to the press release.
After careful consideration, the government found some of the demands justified, the ministry said in the press release.

Consequently, the government will examine the possibility of continuing employment for Ansar members beyond the current three-year service period, without a mandatory break.

The protests, which began on the night of August 22 at Shahbagh and Airport Road, saw Ansar members taking to the streets demanding job nationalization.

The Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) currently comprises around 99,000 members nationwide, including 55,000 integrated Ansar members actively participating in the ongoing movement.

The newly formed committee, led by the Director General of Ansar and VDP, and including representatives from the general Ansar members, has been tasked with reviewing all demands and making reasonable recommendations within seven working days.

Upon receiving the report, an inter-ministerial committee will assess the recommendations and submit a further report to the government, outlining the implementation strategy.

The press release emphasized the disciplined nature of the Ansar VDP, urging all members to return to their duties and avoid actions that could tarnish the reputation of the organization.

The government warned that it would take legal action against any instigators attempting to create unrest within the disciplined force.
