The education ministry on Monday appointed economics Professor Dr Sayema Haque Bidisha as a pro-vice chancellor for administrative affairs at the University of Dhaka.

As per an education ministry notification, Dr Sayema has been appointed with the president’s approval on four conditions including: her tenure would be for four years, she would enjoy all the financial and other benefits due for her new post, and the president reserves the right to annul her appointment any time.
