Noted actor Ilias Kanchan, director Zahidur Rahim Anjan, music director Prince Mahmud, cinematographer Barkat Hossain Polash, actor Aupee Karim, and singer Nazmun Munira Nancy among others have been included in the newly-formed National Film Awards jury board.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting disclosed this 13-member committee in a gazette published on Sunday evening.

The reconstituted jury board is chaired by the additional secretary (Film) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board will serve as the Member Secretary. The other members of the jury boards are Director General of   the Bangladesh Film Archive, head of the film division of the Ministry of Information, Dhaka University’s Television, Film, and Photography department chairman S M Imran Hossain and journalist Wahid Sujan as members.   

The newly-formed jury board will observe films released in 2023 and recommend names of films, artistes, and crew members for the National Film Awards.
