Students and job seekers on Saturday gave the interim government until 30 September to agree to their demand of raising public service joining age to 35 years from 30 years.
They staged a sit-in at Shahbagh to press home their demand before issuing the ultimatum.
They staged the sit-in after police stopped them from holding the “March for 35” procession from the capital’s Shahbagh intersection to Bangla Motor intersection.
They claimed the number of unemployed youth is increasing in the country due to the 30-year government job entry restriction, urging the government to take immediate steps for resolving the crisis.
