Government constitutes 4 new reform commissions

The government has formed four more new reform commissions on health, mass media, labour rights, and women affairs.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan shared the decisions while briefing the media at the Foreign Service Academy on Thursday.
National Professor Dr AK Azad Khan will lead the health commission, while columnist Kamal Ahmed will lead the mass media commission.
On the other hand, Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmed will lead the labour rights commission, and Shireen Parveen Huq will lead the women affairs commission, said Rizwana Hasan.
She said the four new commissions will have a full-fledged shape with members within the next 7-10 days.
The adviser said that the government believes in freedom of media but suggested avoiding spreading any fake news or disinformation.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Special Assistant Mahfuj Alam were also present there.
Earlier, the government had formed the electoral process commission, the police administration reform commission, the judiciary reform commission, the anti-corruption watchdog commission, the public administration reform commission, and the constitution reform commission.
