Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", according to a met forecast for next 24 hours from 9:00 am on Sunday.

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it said.

Trough of low lies over North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over the East Central Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea during next 24 hours.

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 34.4 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 21.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 78 millimetres (mm) at Sandwip.

The sun sets at 05:28 pm today and rises at 05:59 am tomorrow in the capital.
