Tarek Hossen, a CNG-run rickshaw driver from Feni, has won Tk20 lakh in prize money for purchasing a Walton refrigerator under the company’s “Digital Campaign Season-21 Double Million” initiative.

A motor repairer named Rana Islam and a college student named Rashed Ali also got Tk 20 lakh each for buying Walton fridges, says a press release.

Recently, film actor and Walton’s Senior Executive Director Amin Khan officially handed over the Tk20 lakh cheque to Tarek Hossen at a programme held at Wapda Field in Feni town.

The event was attended, among others, by Walton’s Deputy Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed, Stand-up Comedian Abu Hena Rony, Journalist Fazlur Rahman Bokul and the Feni municipality Walton Plaza’s Chief Sales Executives Wahiduzzaman Tanvir and Ariful Islam. Local businessmen Anwar Hossain Patwary, Jafor Uddin and Gias Uddin were also present on the occasion, according to the press release.

On 10 October, Walton launched its “Digital Campaign Season-21” campaign across the country with “Double Million” offer.

Under this offer, customers are offered Tk20 lakh or guaranteed cash back against the purchase of Walton fridge, TV, washing machine or BLDC ceiling fan from any Walton Plaza, distributor showroom and online sales platform “e-Plaza”.

On 19 November, Tarek Hossen bought a fridge from a Walton Plaza at Shahid Shahidullah Kaiser Road in Feni, digitally getting registered as the new fridge’s owner.

After the registration, he got an SMS on his mobile phone from Walton with the notification that he was awarded Tk20 lakh.

Thanking the authorities of Walton for bringing a dramatic change in his life, Tarek Hossen said, “I will try to build a bright future for me and my family with the money received from Walton.”

At the prize money handover ceremony, actor Amin Khan called upon all to purchase Walton’s state-of-the-art technology products to get numerous benefits. He said that Walton is producing and marketing electrical and electronics products in a bid to supply those to the general public at affordable rates.
